The course has once again seen all types of weather with heavy rain over the weekend and this week heavy frosts. The rain unfortunately meant having a trolley ban in place for 2 days to protect the course. I know most of you have Internet access now so we update the course status how many holes are open and what trolleys can or cannot be used in a bar running across the top of the homepage. Please check this to keep you up to date with what's going on. As I have said before the vast majority of you are carrying anyway which means a shorter walk and a quicker pace of play.
Next week we have the Clywd & Borders alliance on Wednesday is starting at 8.00 but for those of you regulars who play Wednesday morning you can start earlier or go and play the back 9 or 8 as we are playing at present.
I have heard this week that once again the Lithium Battery £25 trade in will be starting at the beginning of April which proved very successful last year so if you need a battery please let me know and I will have them in for you for then.
Watching the Northern trust Open last weekend showed all of us that we all have bad days with the world number one Jordan Spieth shooting his worst round 79 in a PGA tour event and Rory McIlroy having a very poor last round. Rory did look like he was not firing on all cylinders all week but managed to stay in contention for the first three rounds. It was a great finish with Bubba Watson eventually coming out on top.
Barcelona were once again awesome in beating Arsenal, the only downside some of their players may have a good acting career after they have retired from Football.
Hopefully those of you off to Wembley for Sunday's final will be coming home with a smile on your faces.
Alex is away this week playing in a Pro Am the Algarve with Sharon, Glen & Jan Randles. The photo shows them playing just before Sunset on the 15th on the Vale do Lobo Ocean course.
There are still spots available for this weekend's Pro's hidden pin competition and also the last of the Winter Competition's 9,6,3 next weekend.
