I was down caddying for Caroline last week in the English Seniors where she unfortunately missed the top 16 qualifying knockout stage by a shot but lost in the final of the 2nd stage to the Lady she beat to win the event four years ago. Luckily I didn't get my P45 but to get in the England team again this year she will now need a high finish in the English Strokeplay in June.
Finally out on the course the fairways have been fertilised this week to get them moving and hopefully the Greens and surrounds will perk up to with the feed they received last week. The greens have been solid tined and dressed this week as part of the on going process to reduce thatch and firm them up especially in the winter.
Rod has asked me once again to mention pitch marks and I have to say I played Monday night and repaired about 14 on the 4th. Please will you repair them and if you cant find your own repair someone else's. There was also some very poor raking or lack of, the other night as well!
