I'm pleased to say at long last the course is drying out enabling the Greenstaff to get a better cut on the course. 

Bromborough Bowl

The greens have also speeded up a bit and we had a lot of good comments this week about the course during the Bromborough Bowl which was won by Richard Shaw from Enville Golf Club with scores of 71 + 67= 138 winning by 2 shots from Tom Dolan from Heswall who shot 68 + 72 = 140. 

PPS

Last weeks PPS was won by Brian Newman with 40 points followed by Aaron Cove with 39 points and Craig Harvey with 38 points who beat Steve Stewart on a card playoff. 

There are still some slots available for this Saturday's competition from the yellow tees which is trialling a new stroke index. 

Play will be in threes as normal and you can book online or phone us in the shop if you want to join a booking that has already been made. 

Ladies Stableford

The Ladies Stableford on Tuesday was won by Caroline Berry with a great score of 36 points followed by Barbara Henshaw with 34 points. 

Div 2 was won by Amanda Martlew with 34 points followed by El Robb with 32 points. 

Deidre Watson won Div 3 on a card playoff with 27 points from Karen Munro & Kath Bartley. 

Caroline is now away for 10 days working at the World Junior Open working for the R&A which is being played at Kilmarnock Barrasie Golf Club next to Troon. 

I am sure some of the up and coming stars will be playing with previous competitors including Rory McIlroy, Jordan Speith & Patrick Reid.
