End of season stableford

The End of Season Stableford last weekend was won by John Clegg with 39 points who beat Andy Clark on a card playoff with Richard Fitzgerald 3rd with 38 points who beat John Boyd & Ray Young on a card playoff. 

The best score of the day was by Dan Sharp who won Div 2 with 42 points followed by Ray Bobby with 40 points and George Scott 3rd with 38 points. 

Ladies 4 ball better ball

The convincing winners of this weeks Ladies 4 Ball Better Ball competition were the two Jan's Randles & Evans with 47 points followed by Marion Jones & Deidre Watson with 42 points. 

Dunmow Flitch

The winners of the Dunmow Flitch were Dave & Jill Holmes a nett 69 followed by Alan & Enid Roberts with a nett 71 with Elaine Murray & Simon Taylor 3rd with a Net 72. 

The Ham they won was that big they hopefully will have finished it by Christmas!!! 

 

I hope you all enjoyed watching the Fed Ex Cup on Sunday night which produced a great finish with Rory McIlroy coming out on top after a 4 hole playoff which will hopefully give all the Europeans a boost for this weeks Ryder Cup. 

I have to say up till now I thought the Americans would be too strong but most of them didn't perform well last week so lets hope that continues. I'm sure however it will be a close run thing as usual with some great golf on display. 

 

Out on the course the Greenstaff have progressed well with the Graden work and will hopefully finish it Thursday morning after losing Monday due to the weather and finally remember from October 1st we revert back to Winter bookings booking only on Monday,Wednesday & Friday mornings during the week between 8.30 and 12.00 and as normal at the weekends. 

The members hour also reverts to between 12.00pm and 1.00pm and on that note we have a Charity golf event on Friday, 14 October which starts at 12.30 due to the numbers involved enabling them all to get round.
