The winner of the last singles competition of the year was SteveO'Donoghue in Class A with a great score of 42 points followe by JohnMooney with 39 points and in the BobTaylor with 37 points who beat SteveLewis and MarkDoolan on a card playoff.
Class B was won by JohnCubbin with 40 points by JohnCubbin followed by GaryMolyneaux whos new TaylorMade M2 Driver is obviously paying dividends with 39 points who beat PeterGunn 39 points on a card playoff.
There are still some gaps for single double or fourballs on the timesheet for next weekends 9.6.3.
Winter Competition please pop in if you would like to play. The winner of the Ladies St Andrews meeting was the inform AmandaDixon with a net 76 followed by MargaretNelson with a net 77 who beat JanEvans on a card playoff.
The Greenstaff have been busy working on the 5th this week with the drainage so we hopefully will not experience the problems we encountered last winter and please could I ask you not to get all the grass etc off your trolleys between the 18th green and the clubhouse as its creating a mess and clogs up the machine cutting this area.
Ryder Cup Weekend
I had a great weekend in Portugal on our Ryder Cup Weekend.
I have attached a photo of our group behind the 18th green at Quinta North and someone else who was a bit worse for wear on Sunday. Answers on a postcard please for the who it is!!!!
I'm afraid as in our Ryder Cup itself, the Americans came out on top 15 to 10 over the four days.
On the European Tour, PaulWaring will be hoping for a better week at the British Masters at The Grove this week after missing the cut by a shot at the Dunhill last week.
PhilAshcroft has joined the club this year and is away some of the winter so hasn't entered the Winter League but would like to substitute if anyone needs a Sub.
