Tour news

Tour round up

Dustin Johnson was in cruise control in his final round of level par 71 winning the Genesis Open in Los Angeles last week after 3 great rounds of 66.66.64. He ended up winning by 5 from Thomas Pieters and Scott Brown with Justin Rose tied 4th. Paul Waring has made a great start in South Africa this morning in the JoBurg Open after a disappointing middle east swing. Lets hope he keeps it up and we see him on tv over the weekend.

As you can now tell I am finishing the newsletter off this week Thursday morning and with the weather outside at present I don't see it being a busy day! Even Mervyn Robertson may not venture out today!

GolfSixes

Aiming for a younger demographic

The European Tour have introduced some innovative ideas for the season ahead. The World Super 6 combined 54 holes of stroke play with a final-day knockout, whilst GolfSixes, which takes place later in the year, sees two-man teams battle it out over six holes in a group stage, before progressing to a final-day knockout.

Will this be good for the game? Have your say here
