Jubilee Cup

Peter Bernard shot the best score of the day to win the Jubilee Cup and Div 2 with 84-18-66 followed by Neil Mcgrath 84-15-69 beating Mike Lewis 97-28-69 on a card playoff.

Div 1 was won by Colin Brown 74-5-69 beating playing partner Peter Courtenay 76-7-69 on a card playoff with Frank Howell 3rd 82-12-70.

The short hole pin positions were obviously too easy!!! as there were 37 twos worth £4.70 each

Ladies Invitation

The Ladies Invitation last week was won by Dawn Skelland ,Colinda Faulkner & guests P.Furlong & C.Kent with 87 points followed by Elaine Murray & Margaret Nelson with guests Jan Pugh Jones & P Morris with 84 points.

Pros Competition

This weekend I will be running a Pros Competition on Saturday for any of you who would like to play from the yellow tees which will be back near the plates with the Invitation being played on Sunday.

Please take note of the piece below regarding the Mens Invitation on Sunday which will make the course more available to play for those of you not playing in it who would like a game.

Men's Invitation Day - Sunday 11 June

Because there is not a full compliment of teams for the upcoming Men's Invitation on 11th June, it has been decided that it will now take the format of a 1st tee start from 12 noon. Some teams will commence their rounds from 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 to dovetail with the last group starting at the 1st. This means that the first tee will therefore be reserved until approx. 2:30 pm after which time members can play.

Members wanting to play in the morning can do so as long as they start from the 10th tee and must be at the 1st tee before 11:45 am.

For people not playing in the invitation, please check with the professional for the times and starting tees that have become available as a result of this change to the Invitation format.


 

Nordea Masters

It was good to see Paul Waring have a better week finishing tied 36th in Sweden. This week he is playing in Austria where he will hopefully improve on that.

Over in the States there was a great finish to the Memorial Tournament where anyone watching Jason Duffner on Saturday night putting from 3 feet wouldn't have given him any chance of winning but fair play he turned it round on Sunday to end up winning by 3 shots.
