In the shop we have some great deals on Srixon Balls with 4 dozen for the price of 3 on AD333 and more shirts are now on the Sale rail outside the shop. The new PING G30 will also be arriving the first week in August.

Following Gary Crowder, Middle aged members are making a comeback to there former playing days with Dale Heggarty shooting a great score of 70-3-67 to win the Centenary Cup and also best gross prize followed by Junior Aaron Cove 77-6-71 who beat Bob Taylor 82-11-71 into 3rd on a card playoff.

The top three place in Div 2 were won by more experienced golfers!!! Brian Davies with 94-25-69 followed by Arthur Margerison with 85-15-70 and Roger Hazlewood 91-20-71.

The Ladies Calcutta Stableford on Tuesday was won by Val Smith, Enid Roberts & Colly Faulkner with 79 points followed by Barbara Henshaw, Sue James & Gill Jennings with 76 pts.

A quick reminder for those of you playing in the competition on Saturday before we open its off the yellow tees and I now have the sheet in the shop for the 2nd Men's Invitation on Sunday 17th August.

We have had plenty of compliments this week from visitors about the course who are up here for the Open Championship and I hope those of you who have been down there have enjoyed it. John Edwards became famous for five minutes after being hit by Tigers ball. Its also been rather quiet apart from visitors with a lot of you either watching or Marshalling.

Callaway Mack Daddy 2 Tour Grind wedges

Opening the face of your wedge adds loft, so is a great option when you need quick height. But take your grip after you’ve opened the face, not before… and use a wedge like Callaway’s Mack Daddy 2 Tour Grind. The sole shape lets you open the face while keeping the leading edge tight to the turf.
