Competition round up

One of our resident Chelsea fans and luckily we don't have too many!!! Glen Randles & playing partner Roy Joynson won the 4 Ball Better Ball Stableford last Saturday with a great score of 41 points over 15 holes.

As Glen lays up with a rescue off every tee!!! the shorter course obviously suited him. In 2nd place with 38 points on a card playoff was Aaron Cove & Phil Ashcroft with John Clegg who had a 2 on the 2nd and Steve Dixon coming 3rd. There were 9 twos worth £11.70 per couple £5.85 per player.

The Ladies 15 hole Stableford on Tuesday was won in Div 1 by Collie Faulkner with 29 points beating Birthday girl Amanda Dixon on a card playoff. Div 2 was won by Jan Randles with 28 points with Enid Roberts 2nd with 26 points and Div 3 was won by Elaines Frances with 28 points, with Wendy Ferguson 2nd with 26 points.

The sheets are available in the shop for the Hidden Pin competition on Saturday 16th December and the Festive Shotgun on Saturday 30th December.

A blast from the past

It was great to see Tiger Woods back in action last week with hopefully no ill effects. I’m sure he was pleased with how he played and was just a bit rusty especially in the 3rd round when it was very windy and he hadn't played in that sort of wind for a long time..

Rickie Fowler was on fire with 8 birdies in his first 9 holes winning quite comfortably in the end. It was also good to see Tommy Fleetwood continue his great form although we didn't see a lot of it!!!
