I certainly didn't miss much being away with the weather. There were some great scores with the younger generation finishing in the top 3 Colt Andy Simpson winning the August Stableford with his new SLDR Driver with 41 pts closely followed by Kieran McCann with 40 pts and 3rd Rob Cull with 38 pts beating Dave Kimpton & Steve Davies on a card playoff.

Div 2 featured slightly more mature winners!!! with Paul Lloyd 40pts beating Rob Passingham & Harry Dawson on a card playoff.

The Men's Invitation the following day was won won by Steve Stewart & A Armstrong followed by John Dermott & S. Clemence, with Steve Davies & S Flynn coming 3rd.

The Ladies competition on Tuesday in very poor weather and after Monday nights deluge which flooded the course was won in Div 1 by Jan Mcgowan with 29 pts Div 2 Pam Darch with 33pts and Div 3 The lady Captain with 29 pts.

Unfortunately the Greenstaff were only able to Solid Tine and top dress not hollowtine last week due to the poor weather so this may be carried out at a later date weather permitting and as I have said previously the STRI report is now through so I'm sure when Rod is back from holiday he will do a piece for me to bring you all up to speed on how we are getting on.

Caroline and I had a great time in Colorado where we were at her Cousin's daughters wedding which was held on a ranch in a field which was certainly different to a wedding over here. We also managed to get a fair bit of golf in playing some great courses in the area the only problem was my fear of heights as being in the mountains at 8000 feet there were a lot of elevated tees and the ball goes much further.

The picture shows one of the best courses we played called Lakota Canyon near Glenwood Springs which if any of you are out that way is well worth a visit.

In the shop my Autumn/Winter ranges from adidas,Under Armour, FootJoy & Stuburt should arrive in the next couple of weeks to go with the Galvin Green range which is already in. Shoe wise I have just had some FootJoy Contours in on a deal reduced from £99 to £69.99 and am hoping for a few more clearance deals over the coming weeks.
