Equipment Survey
As some of you may have noticed in my past newsletter, we are now running an equipment survey. This is an online questionnaire that takes no more than five minutes of your time, and it can dramatically improve the service that we offer you.
By filling out the options, such as the current clubs you have, whether you have had custom fitting experience, and what brands you would be looking to add to your golf game in the future, we can assess what you want, and look to bring the brands that you want to buy in to the pro shop as new stock for the 2015 season.
If you have a spare 5 minutes, then please click here and fill out this extremely useful survey!
There were some great finals last weekend, with Gary Crowder involved in the two closest matchs. First he came out on top by winning the Adult Junior with son Connor, beating Jack and Nigel Skilling on the 20th with a 4. He then followed this on Sunday by losing to Andy Wilkinson on the same hole.
I'm sure he was probably quite pleased after watching Glynn Hughes off 16 handicap play the front nine in close to level par, giving Andy little chance and eventually winning 4&3.
Results were:
Captains Final -
Glynn Hughes beat Andy Wilkinson 4&3
Captains Semi Finals -
Andy Wilkinson beat Gary Crowder
Glynn Hughes beat John Cubbin
Other winners were:
- Loz Creed & Steve Pilgrim beat Andrew Boston & Greg Simister in the foursomes final
- Adrian Harle beat Rob Stenton in the foursomes final
- Jacob Mcloughlin beat James Murphy in the G M Edwards final
- Caroline Berry beat Barbara Henshaw in the Ladies Centenary Trophy final
- The Johnstons beat the Pages in the Matrimonial final
- Jan Mcgowan & Deidre Watson beat Amanda Dixon & Jan Evans in the Ladies Spring foursomes final
- Tom Scott won the Arthur Bulivant trophy George Scott unfortunately had a bad back and was unable to play.
After the August deluge, the course has at long last dried out with the greens now running between 9 & 10 on the stimpmeter. The greens will be Hollowtined week beginning Monday 29th September as the weather didn't enable this work to be done in August.
This will be done with small tines so should recover relatively quickly, so those of you playing early that week may experience some temporary greens while this work is carried out, which will again be weather permitting.
To coincide with the warm weather my Fleeces,Jackets,Lined sweaters etc have arrived this week from FootJoy, Stuburt & adidas, so the shop is well stocked with tops starting at £29.99.
Current other deals include buy 2 Dozen Pro v1 and receive a free limited edition Titleist Cap whilst stocks last.
Buy a pair of FootJoy Boa Sport shoes or Dryjoy tours and receive a FootJoy brolley Free Of Charge whilst stocks last!
