Round up The winner of the September medal was John Boyd with a great score of 76-10-66 followed by Richie Fitzgerald 70-1-69 who beat Dennis Flynn 3rd with 80-11-69 on a card playoff. Div 2 was won by Mark Devaney with the best score of the day 85-20-65 followed by Matt Earp 82-15-67 and Glen Randles 3rd with 94-27-67 who has now been docked to 23 for our upcoming Portugal trip. There were 18 Twos worth £6.80 each. In the Ryder Cup here at Bromborough myself and Ex Captain Ray Newnes were soundly beaten by The Captain and Simon Taylor who were 8 under par Better Ball on the front 9. We made a little comeback on the back 9 but lost 3&2. A good day was had by all and it was good to see the clubhouse full on a Sunday afternoon and luckily no one came in to ask if we could change channels to watch Cardiff v Burnley!!!!! The Ladies Stableford on Tuesday was won with a great score of 39 points by Jan Evans followed by Amanda Dixon with 35 points.
