A large number of members have asked the Handicap Committee to modernise the process for paying entry fees for Competitions so it is automated and more convenient. Working with our Tee Booking software provider BRS we are adopting an online purse system to achieve exactly that. To help members fully understand the new purse system you should read the below: How does it work... 1. Your BRS log in details remain the same. 2. Competition tee times will continue to be for 3 persons as a maximum. 3. As previous, you will be able to book a tee time for 1, 2 or 3 members for a competition. 4. BRS booking purse works on the basis of paying for your own competition fee. It is not possible to pay for others via BRS booking purse however you can book for your playing partners. 5. The key to successfully using BRS booking purse, is to ensure your account is in credit. You can top up your account in the Pro shop using cash or online using your debit/credit card. Please note all online debits are to be made by logging in to the Bromborough GC website as a member and clicking on “Tee Booking”. The facility is not currently available via the BRS App. 6. Receipts of all credits will be itemised on your BRS account online. The Pro shop can also print you an itemised list of your top ups if you don’t have access to a computer. 7. BRS booking purse relies on all players having sufficient credit in their accounts ie: £3 per competition, to enable a successful booking to be made. Players selected that do not have sufficient credit, will be required to top up their account to allow for a successful booking to be made. To avoid any delays with booking or being booked as part of a group, always ensure that your account is topped up prior to the competition bookings coming online. 8. A booking deadline prior to the competition date will continue to apply in accordance with the Competition Rules published in the Club Diary. Bookings cancelled prior to the deadline, will result in credit being restored to the members account. Bookings cancelled after the booking deadline, will not be refunded. Exceptional circumstances will be considered at the discretion of the Handicap Committee. 9. When you pay for a competition, £3 will be debited from your BRS purse. This accounts for your competition fee and your two’s sweep. Any member that does not wish to take part in the two’s sweep will be refunded their £1 back to their booking purse. Please consult the Pro shop to action this for you. 10. Funds that are not refunded due to a cancellation after the competition cut off, will go forward to the handicap committee accounts to be used for trophies, engraving and the end of season presentation. 11. If you are a 1 ball looking for a game within a competition, you can continue to select a vacant slot and book. 12. Bookings and any amendments to bookings, will continue to be emailed to all tee time players. 13. Funds cannot be transferred between the accounts of different members. 14. You can check the balance of your account at any time by logging into BRS booking purse or by consulting the Pro shop. 15. Competition tee times will be available online in accordance with the existing time/day schedule. 16. Once credit has been made to your account on BRS booking purse, it is not possible to withdraw your funds. 17. The BRS booking purse will be adopted for use on all Men’s competitions due to be played on or after Saturday 4th May ie for tee reservations from 19/04/2019. Where players book the tee times reserved for PPS and WR&Y entrants, the purse will also be used. Other entrants should continue to register and pay cash in the Pro shop before play. 18. There is no cost to members for using the BRS booking purse. |
