The winners of last weekends Yellow Ball competition were Steve Davies, Ron Beacall, Jeff Clayton & Ray Newnes with 80 points. They would have come 2nd but one of the three Terry's who marked the card Keenan , Crowe and Devonald decided to put a score in the wrong column so they along with George Scott, finished with 79 pts instead of 81. I was going to mention which Terry but I might get my P45 next week!!!! In 3rd place was Handicap Chairman Clive Plummer who is now down to 12 for the first time but only for another week!!!! before the Winter Handicaps revert back to normal. Clive was playing with Alan Roberts, Frank Le Cozannet & Gary Cottrell with 76 pts.
With the sunny weather this week the Greenstaff have started cutting out the course so we now have some definition back although there are still a few areas for example the back of the 4th & 6th that are very wet and will need attention once they have sufficiently dried out.

Paul Waring is over in Morrocco this week and I hope you all enjoyed watching the tournament from Doral last week where the course changes looked fantastic. It was nice to see Patrick Reed win who won the Junior World Championship run at Heswall the last time the Open was at Royal Liverpool. However I wasn't over impressed with his interview saying he was in the top 5 in the world. It was also nice to see a tournament being won with just under par than between 15 and 20 which it has been in the last few years.
