There are a couple of spaces early on this weekend for anyone looking for a game in the Yellow Ball Competition. This will mean you can finish in time to see if Liverpool can get a shot on target against Chelsea on Saturday kick off 12.45pm as it hasn't happened very often recently!!!
This will be the last competition run from a normal timesheet as we are reverting to two shotgun starts from now until the end of January so make sure you find out whether you are starting at 8.30 or 12.15 when you come to book on Sunday.
Caroline won the Ladies St Andrews Trophy on Tuesday with a great score of 73-1-72 followed by Amanda Dixon 87-12-75 and Gill O'Neill 97-19-78 and Best Wishes to Marion Jones who takes over as Lady Captain on Thursday this week.
A lot of you have been playing Winter League matches and with the days becoming shorter everyone is playing in a more restricted daylight hours so please try and keep up with the game in front and if you are a 4 ball and a 2 ball or quicker game appears behind please let them through. I had a few complaints last weekend about slow play.
This week we have moved onto the Winter Tees and in the coming weeks the ropes will appear on certain holes to protect the surrounds of the greens which has worked very well over the past few years. Please also remember to look out for pitch marks on the greens as when I went out teaching Monday lunchtime walking past the 18th green I repaired seven pitch marks.
In the shop I have just got some more Ladies & Gents winter Shoes on clearance which are a great buy whilst stocks last. Also just in are some Cutter & Buck Merino sweaters which would make a great Christmas present and I will keep you updated with other ideas for Christmas over the coming weeks.
