Saturday's Texas Scramble There was a big entry of 40 teams for last Saturday’s Texas Scramble which was very close to being abandoned due to the rain late morning. I looked at the weather forecast first thing - BBC said no rain and the Met Office said there was so I know which one to look at in the future! Scoring was still excellent with Will Ashton, Arthur Brocklebank, Shaun Booth & John Sadler winning comfortably with a great score of 60 - 4.2- 55.8, followed by Ray Leadbetter Andy Leadbetter Alex Peers & Azman Ibrahim with 64 – 5.5 – 58.5 just beating Ian McCloy Graham Swaby John Robertson & Tony Galloway 62 – 3.2 – 58.8. Two's will once again be on 6 & 16 through the winter unless one of them is closed and there were unsurprisingly 21 of them, which worked out at £7.60 per team and £1.90 per player.
