Greetings from Geoff Berry
Bromborough Golf Club - PGA Golf Professional

There were some great scores & 22 twos in the Texas Scramble on Saturday with the Captains 4 ball winning. Playing with the Captain were Mike Edwards, Glen Randles & Jim Hughes and they had a net score of 43.8 over 15 holes. In 2nd place was Steve Dixon, John Clegg, Duncan Robertson & Chris Brooks with 44.4 and in 3rd place Campbell Burgess, Keith Francis, Roy Joynson & Mike Lewis with 45.5.

There are still a few spaces left in the 4 Ball Better Ball competition a week on Saturday for anyone wanting to play so pop into the shop to book your time if you want to play.

The Ladies held there Christmas Turkey trot on Tuesday and the winners were Margaret Nelson, Sarah Frain, Elaine Murray & Caroline Berry with 75 points over 15 holes with Barbara Gillbanks, Jane Mckeown, Norma Napier & Carole Collins coming 2nd with 74 points.

Hopefully by the weekend I will have my Christmas Draw up and running which will be the normal 6 for £5 and new in the shop this week are some FootJoy shirts on clearance reduced to £25 & £30 whilst stocks last so a good buy for Christmas. We have plenty of other gift ideas so pop down and have a look and if you can't decide vouchers have become more and more popular over the last few years.

Next Friday is also the last day to order Titleist balls with free printing so please order them on the click to order button on this email or I can do it for you if you wish.

Rod has asked me to attach a small video on how to repair pitch marks which hopefully you can see below and there are still plenty not being repaired at all. Hopefully someone at present is making a video on how to show Liverpool to win a game especially after Wednesday night!

Both Tom & Alex have gone to Las Vegas on Paul Waring's stag do so hopefully I won't be advertising for a new assistant next week! Paul is getting married between Christmas and New Year and starts his 2015 season in mid-January in Abu Dhabi.

I hope you have a fantastic week golfing and enjoy reading the rest of the articles. Geoff
