Hole in One for Nigel Skilling
Scoring was once again excellent last Saturday although the early starters did benefit as the wind got up in the late morning.
Nevertheless, John Clegg, who was in fact a late starter won Division One with 77-12-65 on a card playoff from Martin Davies 74-6-65 with Brian Davies a close third with 72-5-67.
In Division Two it was Paul Kenney who took the victory with 87-17-70 on a card playoff from Steve Brennan 84-14-70 and Neil McGrath 84-14-70.
There were 37 Twos worth £5.80 and another Hole in One this week by Nigel Skilling who will have had a sore head the next morning after spending the afternoon in the bar!
Ladies Autumn Meeting 12 Ladies braved Tuesday’s awful weather with Jan Mcgowan winning the Autumn Meeting 87-9-78, Karen Munro won Division Two with 107-28-79 and Julie Money won Division Three.

Gordon Edwards Seniors
A couple of weeks ago, Bromborough took part in the Gordon Edwards Seniors, and had a very successful afternoon all round!
Rob Kelly finished 3rd overall in the gross category with 78 & 74 and Dave Kimpton went two better in the nett category by winning the best nett prize with scores of 68 & 74!
Well done to all those who took part!

TaylorMade fitting day
I'm pleased to say that the take-up that we've had on the TaylorMade Demo Day next Wednesday has been fantastic, but there are still a few spots left.
With some exciting new irons recently released into their range, and the SIM woods proving increasingly popular, this is a great time to come and try out the new clubs and see how they can improve your game

Popov and DJ in leagues of their own There are sporting shocks, and then there’s the World No. 304 winning a Major! Germany’s Sophia Popov finished on -7 at Royal Troon to claim victory at the AIG Women’s Open. Despite having never won on the LPGA or Ladies European Tour before, the 27-year-old fought off challenges from stars like World No. 8 Minjee Lee and seven-time Major Champion Inbee Park. Meanwhile, on the PGA Tour, Dustin Johnson won The Northern Trust, the first FedEx Cup playoff event, by shooting a staggering -30. That ended up being an 11-stroke victory, which raises the age-old question of what’s more entertaining:
An all-out birdie fest or tough, battling golf? Shooting these sort of scores requires immense confidence in your game. So, if there's a part of yours that you're particularly struggling with, send us a message below and we'll be happy to help.
