There were some great and not surprisingly not so great scores on Saturday with a card playoff separating Division 1 with John Edwards beating Rob Jones, John Robertson & Ted Cormack who all scored 38 points.
The best score of the day came in Division 2 with Neil Mcgrath scoring 40 points followed by playing partners Peter Salmon 36 points & Alisdair Mackay 35 points who beat Ken Martindale on a card playoff.
Those of you who ventured out Saturday morning encountered awful conditions with torrential rain meaning my squeegee services were required to clear excess water from some of the greens. Unfortunately they were also required Sunday morning when Marcus Mohr tweeted the picture below of me clearing water from the first green and looking at the photo I'm not surprised I woke up with a stiff back Monday morning!!! John Mooney who supplied the Squeegees is now replacing them with 5 foot ones which should have been sent in the first place.
The Ladies Greensome Stableford also played in appalling weather on Tuesday morning was won by Caroline Berry & Janet Mcgowan with 30points followed by Jackie Johnston & Enid Roberts with 28 points.
This weekend I will be running a Pro's competition on Saturday for any of you wishing to play and as usual all entry money will go back into the prizes. £2 entry fee and £1 ball sweep.

Paul Waring had a mixed week on a very tricky course in Morocco. It won't be that often that he will have 21 birdies in 4 rounds and finish over par. He now has a couple of weeks off before venturing out to China for two events.
