Thanks to all of you who entered the Pro's competition last Saturday. We had 49 playing with a card playoff separating the winners- Simon Bell beating Dave Uden after both having 40 points. In 3rd place was Paul Lloyd with 39 points, 4th John Edwards with 38 points and 5th Jim Harvey with 37 points. There were 9 twos worth £5.40 each.

We have plenty of room in the Foursomes qualifier a week on Saturday, if any of you are looking for a game and at present a couple of early ones this Saturday for anyone wanting to play.

The Titleist Pro V1 deal has been extended for a week for anyone wishing to take advantage and I have more stock arriving this week of Lithium batteries after selling out of my initial stock. There is at present a £25 trade in deal bringing them down to £175.

The greens have been hollowtined this week after last week's solid tining. Alisdair Beggs came from STRI last week and we are making good progress on eliminating our thatch levels and once his report comes through, I'm sure Rod will update you with what he has to say.

I hope you all enjoy watching The Masters this week, it was good to see all the smiling faces in the Par 3 competition on Wednesday night with even Tiger Woods looking like he was enjoying himself!!! I hope he has a good finish this week as I think it's good for golf. I'm also pleased I'm not a betting man as there are so many good players around, I wouldn't have a clue who to put my money on.

I've also been keeping quiet on the football front over the last couple of months with Liverpool coming into form, however, after the last two premier league games we were back to normal with inept finishing and defending. Let's hope we can get our revenge on Arsenal in the Cup Final.
