Caroline Berry won the Cheshire County Seniors this week at Royal Liverpool Beating Carole Ryder 4&3 in the final and I'm pleased to say I went down on Sunday afternoon and played a practice round with Caroline & Jan Mcgowan rather than watch Liverpool's inept performance at Wembley against Aston Villa!!! Caroline also won the qualifying Strokeplay part with an 82 on a card playoff for the 16 matchplay spots. The photo right shows Caroline with the trophy.
The Foursomes Qualifier last weekend was won by Ken Behn & Mike Mcloughlin with a 82-9.5-72.5 closely followed by Clive Plummer & Gary Cottrell with 84-11-73 and in 3rd place Frank Howell & John Moore 88-13-75. The qualifying cut off was 80.5 for those of you that played.
The Ladies Grandmothers Competition was won by Dawn Skelland with a great score of 32 points over 15 holes followed by Gill Martindale & Dorothy Jones with 29points.
Those of you who haven't been down this week will see a big change on the left hand side of the car park as you drive in as all the trees and scrub have been cleared away. However there is no truth in the rumour that the 10th will become a dog leg par 3!!!!
In the shop we have the last week of the Shoe Trade in deal which has gone well. The Callaway Demo day is booked in for Wednesday 27th May so please book in if you would like to be fitted or you are more than welcome to come over and try anything you would like.
