The PPS last week was won with another great score of 44 points this time by Paul Halliwell which was also a 69 gross. Paul was followed in 2nd place by Dave Roberts with 40 points with Matt Kuxton beating Rob Jones on a card playoff both scoring 39 points.
Saturdays Jubilee Cup was won by Paul Barlow 80-12-68 followed by Mark Doolan 81-11-70 & Brian Newman 3rd with 78-7-71. Div 2 was won by Paul Lloyd 90-19-71 followed by Ben Reese 94-23-71 and Geoff Greenwood 3rd with 95-23-72. The best gross score of the day was 73 by GaryCrowder.
The Ladies June Stableford on Tuesday was close with good friends Jan Randles and Sharon Evans both scoring 33 points with Jan winning on a card playoff. Div 2 was won by Dorothy Mellor with 32 points with Jan Evans 2nd with 29 points. The best score of the day was in Div 3 with Sue James scoring 35 points followed by the Lady Captain with 29 points.
The Junior competition last Friday was won by Jacob Mcloughlin with 39 points followed by Ben Parnell with 37 points.
Callaway Demo/Fitting Day
The Callaway Demo Day has been rearranged for Friday 19th June and I will confirm timings in next weeks newsletter. If you would like to book a fitting please call in the shop or phone or email us or just come over and try anything at your leisure.
Lost Club
A Titleist Vokey wedge was lost last Saturday during the Jubilee Cup. If you picked it up but forgot to hand it in I would be more than grateful if you could pass it on to me and I will return it.
Advance Notice
If you are playing over the next few days we are pretty busy with a large groups on Friday & Saturday and the Mens Senior Open on Monday, so please book a time or if you decide not to play please cancel your time so someone else can book it.
On Sunday with the Men's Invitation being a shotgun start at 1.00 pm I will be operating a shotgun start between 8.30/8.45 so if you intend to play please let me know. For those of you wanting to start earlier please do so as I have not had many people ask me about playing around the 8.30 mark. Anyone wishing to play 9 holes may do so up to 10.30ish.
New Odyssey Putters
New in the shop this week we have some Odyssey Big T putters used by a lot of tour players at present. These have the Superstroke grips which also seem to be popular on tour at present.
