I'm sure Jordan Spieth who finds himself £7.5 million pounds richer went to bed on Sunday night with a smile on his face after a fantastic putting display. I would have liked Henrik Stenson to win but for those of you who enjoy him being interviewed at the Sky Cart he will still be able to afford one!!! It also showed what wet conditions do a course with Bermuda rough where the ball sits down which also makes it hard to control and get any distance. It was also nice to see Justin Rose finish well again and it will be good to see them playing in the Race to Dubai events in a few week's time.

This week the European Tour moves to St Andrews where if the current weather continues it will strange to see everyone playing without Bobble Hats on. Paul Waring has been up at the club doing some putting recently and hopes to start chipping very soon on his road to recovery. 

Best score of the day in the End of Season last Saturday was by Dave Kirkwood to win Div 2 with 44 points which included two no scores on the 2nd and 18th. Div 1 was won by Gary Cottrell with another great score of 43 points which was a level par 72. Other winners were Div 1 James Roach with 40 points followed by Jim Hughes with 39 points who beat Steve Dixon on a card playoff. In 2nd place in Div 2 was Martin Morris with 39 points followed by Paul Davies with 38 points who beat Ian Davies & Bryn Jones on a card playoff.

The Dunmow Flitch was very close and was won by the Holmes with a net 71 with a good 4 at the last followed by the Martindales with a Net 71.2 and the Darch's with a net 71.4.

The Ladies St Andrews Trophy on Tuesday was won by Dawn Skelland with 88-15-73 followed by Jill Holmes 89-14-74 and Colly Faulkner 94-19-75.

The Winter League draw will be up in locker room by the weekend for those of you that have entered.

Due to the greens work this week the Yellow tee Stableford on Saturday will be a Non Qualifier. We still have spaces available for any of you who would like to play.
