Last Saturday's competition was unfortunately cancelled due to the fog and is now being played on Saturday 17th October.
Caroline had a great week in Ireland playing at Elm Park in Dublin for England Seniors and winning 4 out of her 5 matches which helped England to win the Sue Johnston Trophy. She partnered Lulu Housman and won all of her 3 foursomes matches playing two of them at number 1. She then won her singles match against Scotland but lost her singles match against Ireland to Laura Webb who ended up winning all of her 6 matches.
The photo attached shows Caroline with the winning England team.
Louise Mcloughlin won the most improved golfer in the Cheshire Girls Bronze division and the photo shows her with her prize and the Junior handicap trophy she won at Stockport in May.
Here at Bromborough it was a good job we weren't doing our Graden work this week with the awful weather. As most of you know the machine unfortunately broke down so we ended up Hollowtining the last 5 greens that were left to do. Most people have commented that they are better than they envisaged and they certainly putt better than they look. Let's hope the mild weather stays so the grass keeps growing which will make the lines disappear quicker. This week we are hollowtining the tees to get them in good condition for next year which is part of the Autumn Winter work.
This week I have been to Harrogate to the Annual golf show to see all the new ranges for next year. I have already done most of my clothing orders but saw some of the new Bags Clubs, Shoes etc. Most of my Autumn stock is now in, I am just waiting for some Stuburt Tops to arrive which were very popular last year to go along with adidas, UnderArmour & Galvin Green stock which is already here. On the way back from Harrogate I had several round tours of Leeds city centre which was not very amusing as the road through was closed and there was no diversion and my sat nav kept taking me back to the road which was closed!!! I also encountered some of the most torrential rain I have ever seen with the motorway down to 30 miles an hour and under water.

In the shop as well we have some great deals on our sale rail. Ashworth shirts at 2 for £50 which have just arrived are going well and hopefully over the coming days some adidas shoes will be arriving on clearance.
