The Ladies 15 hole Greensome Stableford on Tuesday was won convincingly by the inform Jill Holmes & Sue James with a great score of 36 points followed by Dawn Skelland & Collie Faulkner with 29 points.
Last week my clubs came out of competitive retirement when I played in the Alliance at Formby with Caroline as my partner along with Alex & Glen Randles. Alex and I both managed to be nearer the Ladies course 1st fairway than the Men's with our opening tee shots. However I'm pleased to say things improved with Alex finishing with a 1 under 71 finishing 2nd equal and I shot 73 which I was made up with as I hadn't had a card in my hand for 18 months. Can I also say the course was fantastic so if any of you get a chance to play there make sure you do.
On going Christmas promotions are the £50 cash back on any Motocaddy Lithium Trolley and the free personalisation on any Titleist Golf Ball starting at £15.99 per dozen. We also have some great deals on adidas and FootJoy shoes at present at up to 30% off.

Those of you who played last weekend would have seen the changes on the 10th and below is the rule for hopefully only a few of you who miss the green!!!!
Restructuring of the bank and pathway on 10th hole
By reducing the gradient of the bank and removal of much of the scrub from the left and right hand sides will allow the bank to be mowed by machine and less time will be spent searching for golf balls.
During reconstruction the poor weather has resulted in very muddy conditions on the bank and between the 10th green and 11th tee. With transportation of many tonnes of soil across the course certain areas have also suffered. Whilst there are many muddy areas and some deep ruts please be assured that repair work has already commenced and we will continue to repair damaged areas as soon as possible.
This work has led to the introduction of the following temporary course conditions:-
All players will tee up from the Ladies tee until further notice.
The bank immediately in front of the green will be designated as mandatory GUR.
A drop zone will be placed at the bottom of the bank. Balls can only be retrieved from the bank by use of ball recovery scoops provided.
For health and safety reasons you must not walk on the area defined as GUR. A ball lying in an inaccessible area must be left there.
The area between the 10th green and 11th tee will also be designated as mandatory GUR and a drop zone will be provided back right of the 10th green.
Relief may be taken without penalty from all tractor marks and ruts caused by vehicle movements in the transportation of soil across.
The work is expected to take a further week to complete. The bank will be seeded and other areas turfed.
The designated mandatory GUR and drop zones are likely to remain in place until the early summer of 2016.
